‘Supernatural’ Spoilers Season 11, Episode 1: The Hunt Begins, Apocalyptic Overtones Are Present [Watch]
Season 11 of the smash hit CW show "Supernatural" is about to begin with a dreadful note, one that picks up where Season 10 left off.
Episode 1 is titled "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire" and will air on broadcast network the CW on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.
For fans who have been busting at the seams to see what the Darkness is going to do to their classic heroes Dean and Sam Winchester, your wait is over. The last place the show left off was with the Darkness being unleashed and it appeared as though the pre-biblical apocalypse was about to begin.
There is some truth to that, but what becomes apparent right away is that Sammy doesn't want to go into this fight alone. He is going to do what neither of them have ever done -- ask God for help.
According to Spoilers Guide, the first episode will pick directly up with the events of last season's finale. There is no time gap, and this leads the Winchesters directly into their next fight, their next hunt which puts the two back together on the same page.
That is a scenario that fans have not seen for quite some time now. Sam and Dean have traded places in one form or another over the past few seasons, and now they are back to the same page, which is what the show was premised on in the beginning.
Castiel will also recall the brutal battle he had with Crowley, which means he will be dealing with the aftermath of what Rowena's spell did to him. Most of the season, Castiel will be fighting this affliction and trying to find his way out of it.
You can watch a producer's preview for the episode below as well as a new extended trailer that teases the death of one of your favorite characters.
