The Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints will face off on Sunday Night Football this week.

This certainly isn't your regular NFL prime time game. Both the Saints and Cowboys have huge injuries to their quarterbacks, and each squad is coming off a disappointing loss in Week 3. Both the Cowboys and Saints desperately need to win this week to stay in the playoff race.

Let's preview the game and pick a winner.

Dallas Cowboys (2-1)

The Cowboys have the best record in the NFC East at the moment, but injuries are piling up for Jason Garrett's squad. Tony Romo is out, and many are starting to believe that Dez Bryant could very well miss the entire regular season.

The Cowboys began their season with back-to-back division wins over the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, but lost last week against the Atlanta Falcons to fall to 2-1. Luckily for the Cowboys, the NFC East hasn't been very competitive this year. Next week the Cowboys face the New England Patriots, then they have a bye week.

An improved Cowboys defense got scorched last week by wide receiver Julio Jones. The Saints don't have an elite wide out, but the Cowboys secondary still has much to prove, especially with Orlando Scandrick out.

Brandon Weeden played average last week, but his one mistake was a big one. Weeden obviously can't replace Romo's production, so he just has to play the role of game manager and not lose the game for the Cowboys. The ground game has to get going for the Cowboys, and that starts with Joseph Randle. The Saints have one of the worst defenses in the league, so the Cowboys run game should be fairly successful.

As usual, tight end Jason Witten will be the go-to-guy on Sunday for the Cowboys. Witten leads the Cowboys with two touchdown grabs this year so far.

New Orleans Saints (0-3)

The Saints have looked pretty bad after three games. The defense ranks near the bottom in just about every statistic imaginable. Even offensively, the Saints rank 27th in rushing yards gained. The only positive thing going in to this game for the Saints is, it looks like Drew Brees will indeed play despite the shoulder injury.

The game will be in New Orleans, but that may not be good news for the Saints. Incredibly the Saints have now lost six consecutive games at home. This is stunning considering the Saints used to be the most unbeatable home team in the league.

Brandin Cooks leads the Saints in receiving yards through three games, but running back Mark Ingram has the second most receiving yards. The Saints won't be up against the 2000 Baltimore Ravens defense, but this offense isn't very balanced at all. The Saints defense is going to have to force some big turnovers in this game.

Even at 0-3, the Saints may not be completely out of this just yet. The NFC South isn't the greatest division, so the Saints absolutely need the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to defeat the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. If the Saints do in fact lose this game, their season is over. Sean Payton's squad won't be able to recuperate from 0-4.

Schedule

The Cowboys and Saints will play each other on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 8:30 p.m. EDT at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game will be shown on NBC. You can watch a live game stream here.

Prediction

As previously mentioned, the Saints have lost six straight home games. To make things go even more in the Cowboys favor, the Cowboys have won a league high 10 consecutive road matches. Even if Brees plays, his supporting cast just isn't good enough around him. The Cowboys should pick up this win and improve to 3-1.

Cowboys win 31-24
