The Pokémon franchise is set to debut its next film, and a new trailer has premiered online ahead its July release date.

For fans outside of Japan, the upcoming Pokémon film has an unknown release date but likely for late 2014 for those in the United States. In Japan, however, July 19 will serve as the launch of The Cocoon of Destruction and Diancie.

As Latin Post reported, Diancie is the newest and latest legendary Pokémon from the Kalos region set for the "Pokémon X and Y" series. Known as the Jewel Pokémon, Diancie is revealed to be a "sudden transformation" of the non-legendary Pokémon Carbink. To clarify, however, Diancie is not an evolution or Mega Evolution of Carbink despite sharing the same types -- Rock and Fairy.

Although full details of the film's synopsis have not been revealed, minor details have been confirmed. According to a translation, Diancie is the princess of a country that hosts the new movie's location. A huge diamond is located in the country known as the "Holy Diamond," and it bares "an important energy source." The source of the diamond is Diance, but she lost control of it. It is then that the legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal are set to appear.

A new movie trailer, the second so far, focused on Mega Evolution as Mega Absol and Mega Scizor are seen performing an attack. The 30-second trailer, saw legendary Pokémon Yveltal appear from a mountain it might have been resting. Xerneas is the next Pokémon depicted in the trailer where it appears to be preparing its own attack against Yveltal. Diancie finally appears as she awakens from resting on top of a massive diamond.

The second trailer comes nearly three months since the first movie trailer premiered on the Japanese Pokémon YouTube account in December. The first trailer did not feature much except confirming the next film will feature Xerneas and Yveltal.

While the film is confirmed to debut in July in Japan, U.S. viewers are likely to see the official dubbed version on Cartoon Network by October or November. The last Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened, premiered in Japan on July 13, 2013, and made its U.S. debut on Oct. 19.

Meanwhile, Diancie will soon be available in the "Pokémon X and Y" games. Although it is unknown how gamers will obtain Diancie, the Jewel Pokémon has the Clear Body Ability, which prevents stat reductions caused by another Pokémon. In regards to moves, five have been confirmed for Diancie. The Jewel Pokémon is capable of learning Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Explosion, Hyper Beam, and Power Gem.
