THE FLASH Will Reportedly Have a 'Tech Based' Suit in New Movie; Film Slated for 2018
While the CW is actively crafting their interpretation of The Flash on the small screen, DC Entertainment has some big plans cooking for their 2018 film adaptation.
Recent news has recently arrived from Den of Geek regarding the suit actor Ezra Miller will be wearing as the DC Cinematic Universe's Barry Allen. Judging from the show's popularity, the film plans to stay as far away from their already established concept, and will be adopting a more "tech-based" costume for the speedy superhero.
The source goes on to state that the costume will seem more like armor than the leather or spandex get-up seen in the show or comic books. They compare it to the version of the hero depicted in the video game "Injustice: Gods Among Us." In this, the suit is noticeably more padded and fortified. The color is also fairly muted, as has been seen in the costumes for Superman and Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
There is currently no word on the character's powers being tech-based, but Barry Allen himself has been described to be a bit of a tech geek, considering his day job as a forensic scientist.
These rumors don't seem to debunk the less recent rumors that came out of the DCEU Feed, stating that this version of the hero will have long hair, be ripped instead of bulky, and wear a suit with a post-apocalyptic feel to it.

Seth Grahame-Smith will be making his directorial debut with "The Flash" film in 2018, and will also be writing it based on a story treatment from Chris Miller and Phil Lord. It is still unclear if Miller will make his first appearance as the hero in "Batman v Superman" or not, but it would still be too early to release any photos or concept art.
