There are only four episodes left in season 4 of The Walking Dead, but there is still a lot left to be seen this season. Maggie Greene is still on a mission to find Glenn Rhee, plus a new character has yet to make his debut.

"It's really the first time we've seen Maggie outside of the family Greene and without Glenn," Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie, told Entertainment Weekly.

According to Cohan, her character's relationship with Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, is the last bit of romantic hope left in the dark, zombie infested world of The Walking Dead.

"I don't know if that puts us more at risk of dying or less," she said. "It's such a necessary hope and I definitely feel that invisible bridge between Glenn and Maggie the whole time of trying to find each other, and needing that."

Tonight's new episode, titled "Alone," will feature "a scene that finds Maggie, Bob, and Sasha caught in a deep mist and able to hear approaching zombies without actually seeing them," according to Entertainment Weekly.

"I love this device right now of keeping the characters blind, and because we can't find each other, our abilities are lessened and impaired," Cohan explained. "It's very interesting using these different methods to constrict us all and not just be hordes of zombies."

While The Walking Dead survivors work to keep their senses strong, avid fans might want to keep their eyes peeled tonight for Gareth, a new character played by Andrew J. West that does not appear in Robert Kirkman's original comic book series.

"Character details are being kept under wraps, but West will appear in the second half of The Walking Dead's fourth season..." The Hollywood Reporter reported in November. "...he is a remix of sorts of an unidentified character from the [comic] series. Gareth will have what sources say is a big presence and play an important character on the drama..."

Episode 13 of season 4 premieres tonight at 9/8c on AMC. Viewers can watch the latest episodes on AMC.com using their cable provider login.
