JoJo Releases Music Video for New Single ‘Say Love’ [Watch]
JoJo has released the emotional music video for her new track "Say Love."
The 24-year-old singer previously released the power ballad as one of three songs included in her "Tringle" release, an EP she released on iTunes this summer, according to Rap-Up.
Last month JoJo released the upbeat music video for her dance track "When Love Hurts," but she decided to slow it down for the "Say Love" clip.
"For the second visual off the tringle, I wanted something to contrast our stylized warehouse from 'When Love Hurts,'" JoJo told Buzzfeed. "This song called for something open and intimate, while focusing on the tension of being with someone but not fully being on the same page. Calling out for more. The backdrop of sprawling field and tall trees reminded me of autumn in New England, my favorite time and place. I had so much fun making this video and I hope you love it like I do."
The music video opens with shots of JoJo staring out a window at the rain, greenery surrounding the house she's in, and a man holding a black umbrella. Additional scenes include the singer standing behind the man on a dirt road, riding alongside him in a car, and singing in the middle of the street.
JoJo is set to release her third studio album through Atlantic Records, although no title or release date has been announced yet.
"I did what felt right and I tried different things, and I took my time and just kinda played around, and what came out is an eclectic body of work, but with more of a cohesive theme," she told Rap-Up TV. "It is diverse, but it's all very true to who I am and what I love."
The singer's last album was 2006's "The High Road." The album produced the singles "Too Little Too Late," "How to Touch a Girl" and "Anything." Since then, she's released several mixtapes, including "Can't Take That Away from Me," "Agápē" and "#LoveJo."
