‘The Last Man on Earth’ Spoilers Season 2 Episode 7: Re-Populating a Post-Apocalyptic World [Watch]
Now that news of Erica's pregnancy has been revealed in the last episode, the crew of "The Last Man on Earth" have a new goal to work toward -- at least some of them do.
Episode 7, titled "Baby Steps," will air on broadcast network Fox next Sunday, Nov. 15 at 9:30 p.m. EST, according to TV Guide.
The season has had a few meaningful strides made with a lot of comedy, but none have been so important as last episode when Erica came in at the last moment and revealed that she is pregnant.
Now, the group in Malibu have to make new plans for their life as the topic of re-populating the Earth comes up as a dominant discussion.
According to Entertainment Weekly, this topic is not popular with some of the survivors of the plague. Although there is an equal argument for both sides of the discussion, there is plenty enough reasons to take sides.
Some are seeing it as their duty to re-populate the Earth for the sake of humankind. But that would also mean that with only four women, that they know off, there would essentially be a baby assembling line that they would be going down and at the very least, they would constantly be a part of that process in some way or another.
On the flip-side, those against making babies in this new world wouldn't want to do so because there are not doctors around and society as they knew it would not be there to support them. It does after all take a village to raise a child.
But for Erica, there is no question that she is having a baby and with Phil just about to make his way out of town, after having invited Carol to join him, he is now thrust back into staying and helping with the pregnancy. But one can only wonder what life will be like for a child in the world that has been left behind.
