'Agent Carter' Season 2 News: Premiere Date Revealed, First Image Released
The official premiere date for Season 2 of ABC's "Agent Carter" has been announced and the first official photo has been released.
According to Marvel, the highly anticipated season of the popular series will be premiering on Tuesday Jan. 5. 2016.
In Season 2, fans will see Peggy (Hayley Atwell) leave New York to head for California. Peggy will not only encounter the glitz and glam of postwar Hollywood, but will also face plenty of new challenges.
New love interests await, as do plenty of villains who are ready to cause havoc and bring down the SSR.
On Twitter, Marvel also released the first official image from the upcoming season, which shows Peggy's arrival to Hollywood.
The Season 2 cast includes Atwell as Agent Carter, James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson, and Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa.
Also returning from Season 1 will be Dominic Cooper, portraying Howard Stark, and Bridget Regan will reprise her role of Red Room assassin Dottie Underwood.
Over the past few weeks, the series has been announcing a variety of new cast members as well, including "The Newsroom's" Wynn Everett as Whitney Frost, Reggie Austin from "Pretty Little Liars" and "Devious Maids" as Dr. Jason Wilkes, Currie Graham as Calvin Chadwick, Lesley Boone as Rose, and Lotte Verbeek as Ana Jarvis.
The most recent additions to the cast are "White Hot American Summer" star Ken Marino, who will be playing villain and mob boss Joseph Manfredi, and Kurtwood Smith of "That '70s Show" fame, who will play Vernon Masters, a veteran of the war department.
