If there'll be a Floyd Mayweather vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez rematch, the outcome may be the same or "The Money" may still win, HBO commentator Max Kellerman stated.

Kellerman believes that another Mayweather-Canelo bout is an exciting fight to see, but he suggests that the new World Boxing Council middleweight champion may not be able to avenge his only loss in his entire career against the undefeated boxing great, Fight Hype reported. "Canelo" bowed to Mayweather in September 2013 via a majority decision at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, per BoxRec.

"I think that is an interesting rematch with Floyd. Floyd would still be favored," Kellerman said.

Aside from that, Kellerman also thinks that if Mayweather returns, he will not choose a match with the 25-year-old boxer. Instead, he will pick eight-time division world boxing champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, whom he fought on May 2 in Las Vegas. Another showdown with "Pacman" will be his best choice business-wise, especially because their previous fight generated more than 4.4 million pay-per-view buys.

"If you're Floyd, why wouldn't you want to do Pacquiao again?" the sports commentator said.

Even Mexican boxing superstar Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez thinks that a Mayweather vs. Alvarez II will still have the same results, per another Fight Hype report.

"I think it would be the same...that style is problematic for Canelo," Marquez said.

"Dinamita" explains that although "Canelo" has improved so much in his defensive tactics, particularly in not allowing his opponent's punches to hit him, he needs more than that. Marquez has observed that his fellow Mexican fighter will have a hard time with someone like Mayweather, who moves a lot and does not have a "combating" style. Therefore, the 42-year-old boxer thinks Mayweather will still emerge as the victor if the two fighters meet again.

On the other hand, Alvarez thinks he is ready to face "The Money" again.

"I'm ready...if he wants to return, let him return...all this is experience for me because the fight coming up will be better for me," the WBC titlist told Fight Hype.

Marquez supports Saul Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin

However, the veteran warrior is even encouraging Team "Canelo" to face the WBC mandatory challenger and interim champion Gennady Golovkin soon. Marquez has learned that it will still be two years before the Alvarez-Golovkin match happens. For him, it is not that fair for Golovin, the rightful challenger, to wait that long.

What should be next for Alvarez after beating Miguel Cotto on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas? Will "Canelo" face the unbeaten "Triple G" for his first WBC crown defense?
