Zoe Saldana is ready to return to "Guardians of the Galaxy" as evidenced by a recent picture she posted to her Twitter account.

The actress, who plays Gamora in the Marvel series, showcased a collage of images showing her getting into costume, which includes a heap of makeup thrown on her face.

"Ready for another one? #guardiansofthegalaxy #gamora #scifi #Marvel," Saldana tweeted.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress undergoes a rather lengthy process to get into wardrobe, which altogether lasts close to five hours.

Special effects makeup designer David White, who worked on "Guardians of the Galaxy," previously told Allure that a "few things" were used to get that green hue.

"Once the prosthetics were on, the skin around them was topped with a M.A.C. yellow primer and a Makeup Inkz primer. Once dry, a green M.A.C. base was applied. Three more layers of green were then airbrushed on, including makeup from Skin Illustrator and an Aqua mix highlight," White said.

The first film in the franchise was an undeniable success thanks to its self-deprecating wit and humor. It grossed north of $300 million, making it one of only three films to achieve the feat in 2014, according to Box Office Mojo. It was a far cry from the other Marvel movies, which tend to be more brooding affairs.

The sequel promises to showcase more of that humor, while further developing the characters and their particular arcs.

Gomora enters the new film still out for revenge, and it should be interesting to see how far along she gets in her quest in the next installment.

James Gunn is set to direct the sequel, which also stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper alongside Saldana. The film is slated for a 2017 release.
