Best Android Phones of 2014: LG G2, Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, HTC One, and Moto X Smartphones Compared
There are a lot of brands for Android phone users to choose from and each one is seemingly better than the other. Here we compare five leading Android phones, LG G2, Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, HTC One and Moto X in terms of processing power, screen resolution and camera quality.
Processing Power
In this aspect, almost all of the models are at the same level as they have really strong processing power. However, Nexus 5 and LG G2 have the upper hand as they make use of the Snapdragon 800 processors. They are slightly better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 used for both the HTC One and Galaxy S4. LG G2 is deemed to be the fastest device and is more or less the winner in this factor. Moto X on the other hand is quite a unique choice since it has a different approach. It makes use of an X8 chipset with Snapdragon S4 Pro inside. There are certain dedicated processors for various controls.
Resolution
In this aspect, Moto X is slightly losing against the competition as it only has 1280 x 720 pixels and a small 4.8-inch screen. The other four choices have 1920 x 1080 pixels with over 5 inches in terms of screen size. The LG G2 makes use of a razor-thin bezel with a vibrant LCD screen. It also managed to squeeze in a 5.2-inch screen. HTC One is also impressive in the sense that it has the most pixels packed into the smallest screen.
Camera Settings
In terms of camera settings, the Moto X trails behind with only 10 megapixels for the rear camera while Galaxy S4 and LG G2 both have 13 megapixels. Nexus 5 is the worst with only 8 megapixels. However, it has an optical image stabilization feature. HTC One runs with only 4 Ultrapixels. However, despite such a small count, it is still considered impressive when it comes to producing shots in various conditions. LG G2 on the other hand stands out because it can focus up to 9 things at once. The Nexus 5 is by far the most difficult to deal with here due to some software issues.
