NBA Trade Rumors: LaMarcus Aldridge Chooses Atlanta Hawks Over Boston Celtics?
Movements of players in the NBA teams are still expected before the new season starts.
Recently, a rumor has spread about San Antonio Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge. Two teams are hinted to be the Spurs' big man closest team to move on, Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics. It can be recalled what caused LaMarcus to join San Antonio Spurs, according to the Morning Ledger.
It was his intention to become the focus of the offense. But that intention was overcame by Kawhi Leonard, who was given the opportunity by the team to become the new franchise player. This would be another reason for him to look on the new team that would accommodate him with this end.
So, what is Hawks' intention to get Aldridge in the team? The making up of two towers in the front court with Dwight Howard would give a team a strong rum protection and rebounding. Within almost a decade, the team finds hard to rise up from their middle position, they were good yet not the best Coach Mike Budenholzer might just be getting desperate to break it. Aldridge might add to the winning formation of the team.
Aldridge, moving to Atlanta Hawks, gained much possibility than to Boston Celtics recently. And since Aldridge is looking to becoming the centerpiece of the offense, the fast rise of Kawhi Leonard again snatched him out of the choice. Boston Celtics is focusing on young talents. Kawhi Leonard is younger, Inquistr reported.
The 2014 Finals MVP and two-time Defensive Player of the year quickly rose from a role player to an All Star Caliber. The situation would put LaMarcus out of Spurs to share with Hawks' Dwight Howard as towers of the front court, or remain in the Spurs courtyard to own the offense focus if Leonard finally sign for Boston Celtics.
