'I Love You Boo': Demi Lovato Is Engaged to Max Ehrich
Demi Lovato is now engaged to Max Ehrich.
The "Sober" singer, 27, revealed via Instagram on Thursday that her boyfriend, Ehrich, 29, popped the question.
Lovato posted a picture of her and the Emmy nominated actor at a beach with a caption: "When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his 'little partner' -- something that might have sounded strange without his southern cowboy like accent. To me, it made perfect sense. And today that word makes perfect sense again, but today I'm officially going to be someone else's partner."
The other image showed Lovato wearing a large engagement ring on her finger. The "Cool for the Summer" singer said she was honored to accept Ehrich's hand in marriage.
"I love you more than a caption can express, but I'm ecstatic to start a family and life with you," Lovato wrote. Ehrich, on the other hand, wrote on his Instagram that he couldn't spend another second of his lifetime on Earth without having Lovato as his wife.
Lovato and Ehrich's whirlwind romance heated up this year as the couple checked off some major dating milestones, including being together during the quarantine amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, as reported by the US Magazine.
The couple sparked romance rumors after their exchange of flirty messages via social media last March. In the same month, it was also confirmed that the two were dating. A source close to Ehrich told US Magazine at that time that the relationship was off to a strong start.
The couple had been quarantining together in Lovato's house in California since April. According to the insider, the quarantine helped bring the couple closer.
"The quarantine has been great for Demi, and Max has gotten so close," the source said. "She's doing a great job at staying healthy, sober, and taking care of herself."
The insider said the pair's "families wouldn't be surprised by the proposal."
According to CNN, the engagement came a few months after Lovato opened up regarding her sexuality and the possibility that she could end up with a woman.
Early this year, the "I Love Me" singer said she was unsure what her future family would look like. "I don't know if I'm going to have kids this year or in ten years," said Lovato, adding that she's not sure if she will end up having a partner or not.
