WWE Legend Rick Flair Announces Comeback on Professional Wrestling | Can You Guess Who His Possible Opponent Is?
WWE Legend Ric Flair will come out of his retirement and once again battle in the world of professional wrestling.
Flair announced his comeback to the wrestling ring on Monday, after more than a decade following his last match, according to Yahoo! News.
"The Rumors Are True! I'm Going To Walk That Aisle, Style And Profile, One Last Time," Flair announced on his Twitter account.
He then hyped his post by saying that he will once again prove to his fans that "to be the man, you've got to beat that man." Flair's upcoming wrestling match is scheduled on July 31 at the Fairgrounds in Nashville Tennessee. The said match is produced by Jim Rocket Promotions.
Flair had his last match in September 2011 for Impact wrestling. During that time, the WWE legend lost to Sting, his long-time rival in World Championship Wrestling.
Meanwhile, Flair's last match with WWE happened in 2008, in which he faced Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania XXIV.
WWE Star Ric Flair's Opponent Speculation
Speculations on who might be Ric Flair's opponent in his upcoming wrestling match on July 31 surfaced.
Fightful News' Sean Ross noted that one of the possible opponent's Flair would face would be one of his old rivals, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.
Comic Book pointed out that other competitors will reportedly be FTR (with Flair) and the Rock N' Roll Express (with Steamboat), making it a six-man tag match.
It should be noted that there was no official announcement of Flair's opponent in connection to his July 31 match.
Steamboat and Flair had their famous matches in 1989 that many consider to be the greatest trilogy in professional wrestling history. Their last match together happened at the Nashville Municipal on May 7. During that time, Flair won back the NWA World Heavyweight Championship that Steamboat stole from him months prior.
