Republican Infighting Intensifies as Rep. Ken Buck Blasts Other GOP Members in Scathing Video
Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado has had enough of his GOP colleagues and released a three-minute announcement video blasting other Republicans, particularly those especially loyal to Donald Trump, as the Republican infighting continues despite briefly coming together to elect Mike Johnson as US House Speaker.
The Colorado Republican is a well-known figure in the far right but has had a massive change of heart as of late, blasting other members of the far-right House Freedom Caucus and having a very public feud with notable Trump loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene.
He is not seeking reelection for Congress anymore, announcing his retirement, but has gone livid on other GOPs, blasting their appeasement of Trump and not recognizing January 6 for what it is: an insurrection.
In his video, he also accused his Republican colleagues of being "obsessively fixated on retribution and vengeance for contrived injustices of the past."
According to the Associated Press, the long-time Congressman from Colorado has been fed up with Donald Trump's lies about the 2020 presidential election, where he lost to Joe Biden. He also grew frustrated with Trump allies in Congress as well as the current Republican infighting.
"Our nation is on a collision course with reality, and a steadfast commitment to truth - even uncomfortable truths - is the only way forward," he said in the video where he also blasted fellow former House Freedom Caucus member Marjorie Taylor Greene, whom he had been feuding with over Trump.
"When I was teaching law school, I learned and taught certain constitutional principles," he previously said in an interview. "When Marjorie Taylor Greene was teaching CrossFit, she learned a whole different set of values, evidently, because my idea of what this country should be like is based on the Constitution."
Ken Buck Explains Why He Will Not Seek Reelection
Before he went on his video tirade against other GOP politicians, leading conservative Rep. Ken Buck announced that he is retiring from Congress because his Republican party "continues to rely on this lie that the 2020 election was stolen."

According to The Guardian, he stated. "I always have been disappointed with our inability in Congress to deal with major issues, and I'm also disappointed that the Republican party continues to rely on this lie that the 2020 election was stolen and rely on the January 6 narrative and political prisoners from January 6 and other things."
"If we're going to solve difficult problems, we've got to deal with some very unpleasant truths or lies and make sure that we project to the public what the truth is," added the Colorado Republican.
Ken Buck Testifies Vs. Donald Trump During Ex-POTUS's Colorado Disqualification Hearing
Colorado voters are trying to get Donald Trump disqualified with the use of the 14th Amendment, and Colorado Republican Ken Buck continues antagonizing his MAGA colleagues by taking the stand against Trump in that Colorado disqualification case.
A leading constitutional professor before his time at the House, he had shown his expertise in the law as a congressman. However, on trial, he stood as a witness to the events of the January 6 insurrection.
"A police officer came to the microphone and said that tear gas had been dispersed. And we were advised that there were gas masks under our seats, and we should deploy those gas masks," he testified under oath. "There was clear indication that there was a danger at that point."
Ken Buck is the second lawmaker at the January 6 Capitol insurrection to testify in the Trump disqualification case, following Democrat Eric Swalwell.
"I came back to my office rather than the secure committee room, and I saw on TV what was going on and I thought, 'Oh my goodness, there are a lot of people out there,'" he continued.
