David Gail, recognized for his roles in soap operas like "Port Charles" and "Beverly Hills 90210," has died at the age of 58, according to an announcement by his sister, Katie Colmenares, on Instagram.

Gail's notable credits include portraying Stuart Carson in "Beverly Hills, 90210" and taking on the role of Dr. Joe Scanlon in the "General Hospital" spinoff "Port Charles," PEOPLE noted.

In her heartfelt Instagram post, Colmenares referred to Gail as her "wingman" and "best friend," expressing the profound impact he had on her life.

"The bears will never be the same, but I will hold you so tight every day in my heart, you gorgeous, loving, amazing, fierce human being, missing you every second of every day forever. There will never be another ."

As of now, the cause of Gail's death has not been disclosed to the public.

Peter Ferriero, who hosts a "Beverly Hills, 90210" rewatch podcast, joined others in paying tribute to David Gail.

Ferriero urged fans to refrain from searching for the news online, emphasizing the family's decision to report it at an appropriate time, per the NY Post.

"For those that have contacted me, 'Why is this not showing up on Google?' Please stop," Ferriero posted in an Instagram Story on Saturday.

"The family will report it to them at the appropriate time. I am sharing what I've been told to make sure his fans know what has happened. Thank you," he added.

Gail had previously expressed his gratitude for working on "Beverly Hills 90210" during an April 2021 appearance on Ferriero's podcast.
