After making headlines this week over an extension to a psych ward stay, Amanda Bynes is big news again on Wednesday after a court mandate that gave the "Easy A" actress' parents conservatorship over their daughter once again.

Various media outlets have reported that parents Richard and Lynn Bynes were granted  a temporary conservatorship over their daughter's estate after the starlet reportedly blew tons of cash on lavish gifts for people she barely knows.

The New York Daily News has reported that Bynes spent "a small fortune" on Cartier jewelry and watches to give to her former instructors at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Southern California. The "Hairspray" actress also shelled out major cash on "pricey jewelry and gifts" for "random people" who have been seen hanging around Bynes since a recent breakdown, according to the report.

In response to the spending frenzy, Bynes' mother filed for an emergency probate conservatorship over her daughter and a Ventura County, Calif. judge granted said request, online court records show. This conservatorship will gives Bynes' parents control over her financial estate while the actress remains in court-ordered psychiatric treatment, which will last for at least 30 more days.

The decision on the conservatorship comes right on the heels of a decision made on Tuesday to extend Bynes' mandatory psychiatric hold at a facility in Pasadena, Calif. Bynes' doctors claim that she is "very ill" and believe it is in her best interest to remain under their care until she can be stabilized, according to a report from CBS News.

Bynes' mandatory psychiatric stay is the result of recent "troubling" behavior that the actress has reportedly displayed, including a DUI, an alleged shoplifting mix-up at Barneys and, most recently, false accusations against her father, claiming sexual abuse.

Bynes took to Twitter in early Oct., saying that her father had been sexually abusing her for years and that she had begun videotaping it recently to prove that she was telling the truth. The actress has since deleted the false accusations from her Twitter account, but has posted a questionably more alarming tweet in their place, claiming that a microchip implanted in her head forced her to say the things she had about her father.

As a result, on Oct. 10 Bynes was placed on a 5150 medical hold at the Pasadena facility where she currently remains.

The actress was diagnosed last year with schizophrenia during another mandated stay at a mental health facility, but her current doctors say they are considering a different diagnosis now, according to the New York Daily News.

That report also claims that it's expected Bynes' current 30-day hold will be extended into an "open-ended hospitalization."  There also remains the possibility that Bynes' parents will be granted another lengthier and more serious conservatorship as the actress fights to regain a stronghold over her mental health and well-being.
