If a certain actress gets her way, the next season of American Horror Story might have a bit more Glee in it.

Last week, Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the Fox series Glee, revealed that she is not quite over playing her character. Glee is currently in its fifth season and will finish after season 6. Michele, however, would love to keep Rachel Berry alive.

"I've literally said before I will work for [Glee co-creator] Ryan Murphy for the rest of my life," Michele said during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I think he's a genius."

Michele, however, would not mind being a part of another one of Murphy's creations. In fact, the 27-year-old actress has her eyes on the FX series American Horror Story.

'Unless he wants to put me on American Horror Story," Michele continued. "I know what the theme is for next year, and I'm in."

Recently, American Horror Story writer Douglas Petrie confirmed speculation that season 4 of the show will take place at a carnival.

"So if he'll have me at least maybe for one episode," Michele told DeGeneres. "Yes, lets start that campaign now actually."

The show may have room for Michele as season 4 will be Jessica Lange's last.

"All I'll say is, Jessica Lange has always wanted to play a Marlene Dietrich figure, and now she gets to [in season 4]," Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter in October.

Michele, who has Broadway roots, could fit in with season 4's costume changes, theatrics and new accents.

"It's set in 1950," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly in January. "If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there's some more clues in that year. It's a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we've done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I'm very excited!"

In a February interview with Vulture, actor Evan Peters said that the next season would continue with the "more comedic tone" of season 3 but did not confirm his involvement. Sarah Paulson, on the other hand, is confirmed for season 4.

UPDATE: Murphy just announced via Twitter that season 4's subtitle is Freak Show. Based on previous seasons' premiere history, season 4 will debut in October.
