When it comes to news about the possible release of Grand Theft Auto V on PC and next-gen consoles like Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One, it's hard to decipher fact from fiction and feasible possibilities from utter falsification. The latest rumor: a Rockstar Games employee has finally confirmed new versions of the game. Could this be true?

Over the weekend, sources reported that an "alleged" Rockstar Games employee said that the game developer would announce new versions of Grand Theft Auto V at E3. One of the first sources to spread the rumor, however, pointed out flaws in the rumor's credibility.

"The biggest confirmation was the alleged tweet of Rockstar programmer Todd Gilbert who claimed that Rockstar was really supposed to show the GTA V PC and PS3 version at Destination PlayStation," SportsKeeda.com reported. "It should be noted though that the alleged tweet was just a rumor, and that there are no records of a 'Todd Gilbert' in any Rockstar released game."

Indeed, one would be hard pressed to find this supposed employee, even on Twitter. To make the rumor appear even more unlikely, it seems that Rockstar Games does not have a history of making such big announcements at E3.

"It's also unclear if the company will even be at E3-as the company didn't show GTA at E3 2013," The Epoch Times reports.

So, it seems that despite what you hear from the grapevine, Rockstar Games has still yet to confirm or deny that they will release, or are even creating, new Grand Theft Auto V games for PC, PS4 or Xbox One.

Various international retailers, however, have listings for these unannounced games. The newest retailer to post a listing is Romania's Altex. It prices Grand Theft Auto V for PC at 179,90 LEI with a release date of March 15, 2015. This is one of the chronologically latest speculated PC release dates to arise.
