Demi Lovato insists she and longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama are not engaged, but the "Confident" singer is quick to add she wouldn't mind if that all changed one day soon.

"I don't see a ring," The L.A. Times reports Lovato told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres of her current status during a recent appearance on her show. "I wouldn't mind if I saw one, but there's time for everything."

Lovato and the "That '70s Show" alum have been a couple now for more than five years, which, in her mind, is a clear indication that they've already passed the test of time.

Lovato Hints Time Will Come

"There's time for everything," she added. "We've been together this long ... obviously I'm not going anywhere and vice versa."

Lovato admits she instantly felt Valderrama could be the one soon after first meeting him six years ago, but back then was forced to put all her bubbling feelings to the side.

"I was head over heels and he was like, 'Oh, stay away until you're old enough,'" the 23-year-old said, hinting of all the talk the two have had to endure early in their relationship stemming have referencing from their 13-year age difference.

Indeed, it hasn't always been easy for the two.

Struggles in the Past?

Over the years, Lovato has been open in expressing how she's convinced Valderrama is the one that "saved" her from herself as she battled several addictions and as a result the two have only grown closer and closer over time.

"He never takes credit for my sobriety, but I guarantee I wouldn't be alive without him today," she said.

As recently as this month in the current issue of Allure magazine, Lovato admitted she still struggles with such demons as her body image, but adds she is proud of all the ground she's covered to arrive at the place she now finds herself.
