Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have been here before. Only then, the situation was actually a lot more precarious than it is now.

The Warriors enter Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena Friday night ( 8 p.m. ET) still in the driver's seat by virtue of their 2-1 series lead, though you wouldn't know it based on their suddenly gloomy forecasts. You can watch a live stream here.

Curry Kept in Check

The Cavs not only bounced back in their Game 3 blowout win, they again managed to keep Curry shackled and under 20-points for the third straight game.

That says it all, at least in the minds of Cavs fans, now seemingly more emboldened than ever about their chances of dethroning the champs.

Warriors Coach Steve Kerr has heard it all before, and he still isn't buying into it.

"Just think about the OKC series," he said. "We're down 3-1, he hadn't played well. Look what he did the last few games. So that's Steph. That's who he is. He always responds. He's got a huge heart, competitive as hell, and extremely talented. I know how he will respond. He'll play well. He always does."

The Warriors will need him to. The Cavs have made it a point of keeping the two-time league MVP out of his rhythm, switching everyone from Kyrie Irving to Matthew Dellavedova and even LeBron James on him to keep him guessing.

Look for Golden State to add wrinkles to their offense for Game 4 that will put the league's scoring champion in better position to do what he does when he catches the ball off screens Friday night.

"We can definitely help Steph out and we will," vowed Kerr. "We can put him in better position to catch the ball or to handle the ball and to come off screens and that kind of stuff with more space, and we'll do that."

LeBron Still Sees Must-Win Situation for Cavs

For all the talk of the Cavs having finally figured the Warriors out, James still realizes how fragile their situation really is.

"We can't afford to go down 3-1 and go into their building and give them confidence going back," he said. "So it's a do-or-die game for us still."

Cavs coach Tyronn Lue is certainly playing that way. With Kevin Love expected back from concussion like symptoms, Lue insists he will not determine playing rotations or even a starting lineup until midday Friday.

Cleveland's small ball lineup of James, Irving, J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson and Richard Jefferson worked almost to perfection in Game 3 so odds are the champs will have to face a lot more of it come Friday's pivotal Game 4.
