No SD card slot in MacBook Pro? Apple explains [VIDEO]
Apple has recently released its new MacBook Pro with some cutting-edge features. There are a number of changes made by the company. Elimination of SD card slot and 'Hey Siri' voice activation are major among the changes. This high-end laptop is pretty light, has a sleek design and has various emoticons, which are placed on top of the touch bar. It does also include a fingerprint sensor into the power button.
According to the Independent, in a recent interview with Philip Scheller, Senior Vice President explains the reason of not having an SD card slot in the Apple MacBook Pro. He emphasizes that it is inefficient and there is not much requirement of this slot. These days, wireless transfers are already built in new cameras, so there is hardly any need of the slot.
As per the report by Engadget, the points stated by the company for not having an SD card slot for the Apple MacBook Pro are justified but not many people will agree over this because people are using different model cameras that do not support wireless transfers. In that case, they cannot change their cameras to support their laptop.
The company has also explained about its lightest weight. For company, it is not easy to give the product a design which is very thin. It takes a high level of hard work to give it a sleek look. The beautiful design comes with the good intelligence of the engineers that is commendable.
Their report also says that the company is agreeing over the criticism they get with every new Apple product and company will address all the concerns. Apple has also insisted users to understand the benefit of using the changed and improved features of the Apple MacBook Pro and and Apple's other products.
