Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Glossy Black variant coming to markets this December to rival iPhone 7
Samsung is back on the game and the technological race between the Korean tech giant and Apple is getting exciting as the Galaxy S7 Edge gets a new coat of a darker and glossier black. Like black could get any darker, Samsung Electronics is expanding the shade variant of the nine-month-old GS7 Edge to rival the newly launched iPhone 7.
Although Samsung is yet to unveil official details about the Galaxy S7 Edge Glossy Black variant, dev community and consumers alike are excited to experience the new look of the smartphone. The news first came out from Korean media, The Investor, which reported that Samsung has plans to launch the new version early in December.
Samsung reportedly opted to introduce the Glossy Black GS7 Edge following the success of its Coral Blue variant which sells an average of 15,000 units in a day in Korea since its launch on November 11. This beats the daily unit sales of iPhone which is about 10,000 units.
The media outlet further noted that Samsung aims to rival the hot-selling Jet Black and Matte Black variants of iPhone 7. Samsung already launched its black matte version with the Onyx Black. Thus, the electronics company is expected to launch its own version of a shiny black smartphone.
Considering the fiasco of Galaxy Note 7, fans are rather hopeful that Samsung would make this decision to launch GS7 Edge Glossy Black variant. Likewise, images of the highly-anticipated smartphone version surfaced online, in courtesy of a Weibo account of a Samsung official in China which Sam Mobile published yesterday.
The news source further noted that there is no information yet whether Samsung will release the Glossy Black variant worldwide or be limited in its home market. In addition, whether it will be scratch-prone like iPhone 7, users are hopeful that Samsung could relieve this issue.
Considering that Samsung has not released any official statement about the Galaxy S7 Edge Glossy Black variant yet, readers should still treat this news with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more updates!
