"Avatar 2" is confirmed to be released in 2018 while the subsequent films "Avatar" 3, 4 and 5 are confirmed to be in the works according to Fox. "Avatar" director James Cameron has provided juicy details about the sequel now that it is known that the script for all films has been completed.

"Avatar 2" Release Date, Cast and News

"Avatar 2" will be shown iin theaters on December 21, 2018. According to Den of Geek, Sigourney Weaver, and her character is the Xenobotanist Grace Augustine will definitely be back for the sequel. The "Alien" actress will be present in all films as well as she has been reported to have read all the scripts for the franchise.

Weaver indirectly shares that three of the four scripts she has read so far are "more amazing" than the first movie. This means that movie watchers will have a lot to anticipate in "Avatar 2." There is no confirmed news yet as who are going to come back for "Avatar 2" but it is known that Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana and their characters Jake Sully and Neytiri will be back.

"Avatar 2" Plot and Storyline

James Cameron reveals that "Avatar 2" will follow the story of Jake, Neytiri and their children in Pandora. The sequel will revolve around their family which will explore their relationship with other humans now that they have a few of their own who are part human and Na'vi. Following Weaver's comments about the script, Tripped Media reports that Cameron is planning to explore the rest of Pandora now after Jake and Neytiri's family is established.
