Gong Yoo's 'Goblin' Has Beaten Lee Min Ho's 'Legend Of The Blue Sea' and Song Joong Ki's DOTS In Its Just Three Episodes
Gong Yoo's come back drama,"Goblin" is now on the top three list of most watched drama after it has beaten Soong Joong Ki's DOTS, surpassed Lee Min Ho's "The Legend Of The Blue Sea," and other high rated dramas in its just third episode aired on December 9.
"Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" or known as Goblin just marked a record-breaking premiere crushing in viewer ratings up to the third place in just three recent episodes released, topping on to the third spot of TvN's most viewed K-drama. "Reply 1994," "Love in the Moonlight" and DOTS of Song Joong Ki had beaten by Gong Yoo's latest drama.
Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun's new drama previously held the top spot in the last three weeks. But according to the stats acclaimed by Nielson Korea, the third episode of the drama scored 12.5 percent. Much higher than the first episode (6.3 percent) and almost double the ratings, the same as the second episode that has a rating of 7.9 percent.
According to Inqusitr, the drama Descendants Of The Sun scored 5,518 points, whereas the Reply 1988 scored 5,260, the Moonlight Drawn by Clouds has scored 4,720 points. While the Legend of The Blue Sea in its first week has fell behind and got 4,315 points.
In just three episodes, Goblin strikes down 4 of the highest dramas. As per the report of Soompi, there are only two dramas that Goblin has yet to surpass is Lee Je Hoon's Police drama, "Signal" has a total percent of 12.5 and Go Ara's, "Reply 1988" that has 18.8 percent in total. Even before the drama has started, Goblin was already a hot topic as the director and screenwriter of DOTS will be back to collaborate again in this much-awaited drama.
The actor Gong Yoo stated and claimed that this drama is his comeback after five years due to actor's fear of acting in TV dramas because of how much time needed to film the series.
