John Mayer bullies Taylor Swift? Calls December 13 (a.k.a. her birthday) 'The Lamest Day'
It might just have been another tweet to vent about a bad day, but Swifties are not buying it. Fans of Taylor Swift have lashed on John Mayer minutes later when the "Love on the Weekend" singer posted on Twitter these words: "Tuesday, December 13 may be the lamest day of the year, conceptually."
While this tweet might mean anything, December 13 coincidentally is Taylor's birthday. The ruckus got even bigger when John deleted his post a few minutes later with a follow-up message to mend the blow.
Fans of the "Shake it Off" singer have pummeled John with tweets and messages ever since, as per
US Magazine. Although it has been more than half a decade since the two broke off, fans are not quick to forget how the split tasted.
Taylor released "Dear John" as part of her "Speak Now" album to recount her experience with John, which is not so good considering her accusations that the 39-year-old singer had played with her emotions even though she was just nineteen. John, on the other hand, said that he felt humiliated with the song and released "Paper Doll" as a response.
With lyrics "Cut the cord and pull some strings/And make yourself some angel wings/And if those angel wings don't fly/ Someone's gonna paint you another sky," John told his side of the story. Although the two seemed to achieve civil terms in 2015 following John's interview in which he talked about his respect on his ex for her pushback against Spotify, the Katy Perry feud might have reopened the buried hatchet.
John Mayer burned Taylor Swift after an alleged snobbing incident at Grammy's and Katy was reportedly the one to blame. A source of
Hollywood Life revealed: "Taylor's sure John did that for Katy, everyone knows they love to hate on Taylor together. Taylor feels like she's being bullied but she's a strong girl she'll get through it."
Taylor is yet to comment about the matter but she is receiving so much love from her family and friends now that she might just casually dismiss the matter. After all, it has been more than 5 years. Stay tuned for more updates!
