It's been two years since the release of "The Sims 4" and there have been rumors going around that "The Sims 5" may be the first VR-supported title from the franchise. Apart from being VR-support, the game is rumoredly expected to be 360-degree capable.

EA Games has been quiet about their hit gaming franchise and there has been no word whether "The Sims 5" is currently being developed. Due to the surge of VR-supported and 360-degree capable games currently out in the market, fans are expecting that "The Sims 5" will follow suit, Game n Guide reported.

The "Sims" franchise is considered to be one of the biggest selling videos in gaming history and most of its titles have been highly rated by gamers and critics alike. "TheSims 4" has had mixed reviews and a lukewarm reception from fans since it was released in September 2014.

The rumors for "The Sim 5" having VR and 360-degree features may not be so farfetched seeing as how the developers and publishers are trying to bounce back from the reviews of their last major released game. The game is reportedly going to be released by 2019. However, neither Maxis nor EA Games have confirmed or denied these rumors so they may just remain as speculation.

MovieNewsGuide reported that "The Sims 5" will only happen if they hit their desired quota for "The Sims 4." The outlet speculates that "The Sims 4" has not garnered so much interest because its competition has driven gamers to turn to popular games on consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS and more. Furthermore, the game can only be played on PC and Mac.
