'Street Fighter V' News & Update: Capcom Imposes Stricter Penalties for Rage Quitters; Game Patch Details
The number of rage quitters or players who quit matches when they find out they're losing the game is extremely high in "Street Fighter V." Capcom has released a new patch that will lessen this scenario in order to make gamers more trustworthy in their newest fighting game.
Capcom has released the season 2 patch for "Street Fighter V" along with holiday greetings for this month. The gaming company wrote on their blog that a huge update is coming to the game starting December 20.
"Street Fighter V" will now have a Rage Quit System that will highlight rage quitters in the game in the form of special icons. Those with the rage quitting icon will not be paired against players with good standing in "Street Fighter V" and will instead battle it out with those who are the same as them. Furthermore, they will have League Points deducted any time a player will disconnect from the game mid-match for no apparent reason.
Inquisitr notes that Capcom's season 2 patch also brings balance changes to characters in "Street Fighter V." The most notable changes are characters with special moves like Shoryuken and Dragon Punch. The white life regeneration has also been modified to discourage people from not fighting back or whose tactics involve defensive play during matches. The full patch notes of "Street Fighter V" can be read on Capcom's original blog post.
Apart from that, Capcom has also announced new DLCs for "Street Fighter V." The Holiday DLC will contain Ryu's B-Boy and Chun Li's B-Girl costumes at the retail price of $20.
