Ryan Reynolds is hard at work not only for "Deadpool 2" but for the "X-Force" movie. The Hollywood actor is also writing the script for the new movie and is hoping that it will have an R rating similar to "Logan" and "Deadpool."

IGN reports that Ryan Reynolds is co-writing the script with Joe Carnahan for the "X-Force" movie. The outlet adds that the actor was pushing to make the movie. X-Men series producer Simon Kinberg adds that he is also working hard for "Deadpool 2" and "New Mutants."

Simon Kinberg revealed in an interview that the "X-Force" film will be similar to the Marvel comics. He describes the ragtag group of Deadpool, Cable and others to be "darker" and maybe this is why Ryan Reynolds wants the movie to be R-rated.

There are rumors that Simon Kinberg will be directing the next "X-Men" movie and it could be the "X-Force." In an interview with Deadline, the producer addressed the rumors but did not confirm or deny the reports.

Simon Kinberg said that if he were to hypothetically direct the next "X-men" movie he would want to be part of the writing team for it as well. This is because he feels more at ease with directing a movie he wrote for.

He adds that they will continue on with producing more movies from the X-men universe and build its content based on emotional storytelling regardless of its tone. Simon Kinberg reveals that "Deadpool 2" is currently in the works and they are working hard to incorporate the current characters into the "X-Force" movie and possibly future others.

Having said that, Simon Kinberg did not reveal when the "X-Force" movie will be in production or released. It is only known that it has been greenlit and will come for when the team behind it feels that it should already be launched.
