'Final Fantasy XV' Episode Gladiolus Details Revealed; Haruyoshi Sawatari Tailored the Game, Battle System and UI
The upcoming "Final Fantasy XV" features Prince Noctis and his journey to Lucis. If players wanted to spend time with the "best boys," then the only bet is to play the forthcoming character DLC chapters. Everything will be awesome in Episode Gladiolus focusing on the toughest and biggest member of the party.
The producer of the "Final Fantasy XV" DLC chapter, Haruyoshi Sawatari, have discussed what is new to the Episode Gladiolus. According to him, Episode Gladio starts when an encounter happened in the base. Gladio did not think he had enough power to be Noctis' Shield of the King, Sawatari explained that they have made the episode all about Gladio as another side of the game, Play Station Lifestyle has reported.
Players will get a timeless hour of Noctis and other characters and another experience as well. How are Noctis and Gladio differ from each other? Sawatari claimed that Noctis' fighting style is mobility while Gladio is about "muscle" and he needs to be the shield for Noctis.
Sawatari also shared the battle system of "Final Fantasy" Episode Gladiolus wherein it focuses both on defense and offense. The episode is duality, when a player block enemy's attacks, the higher player's attack output actually becomes. Gladio also has a special move set and has a name of Glaive Arts.
Gladio's Glaive Art is set to chain regular attacks together and gauge gradually fills up. When it fill each time, Gladio able to perform a higher level of Glaive Art. In the "Final Fantasy XV" Episode Gladiolus, Sawatari tailored the game, the battle system, and the UI.
The producer claimed that when a player able to complete the Episode Gladiolus, a couple of items they can carry over into the main game. Also, new enemies and bosses are in the "Final Fantasy XV" Episode Gladiolus wherein Gilgamesh is already waiting to fight, Destructoid has reported.
Gilgamesh is considered a blade master, an original character from the Episode Gladiolus and not in the main game. Sawatari also answered the question whether the three DLC chapter for Gladio, Igni, and Prompto are direct response to the complaint where players only played Noctis in the main game?
Sawatari explained that the characters in the DLC were already in development together with the main game. Also, he claims that outside the three characters of the "Final Fantasy XV" Episode Gladiolus, there is no other character the production wishes to explore. The game is expected to escalate on March 28 on Xbox One and PS4.
