‘Train to Busan 2’ News: Gong Yoo May Return As Zombie In Sequel
According to recent reports, the "Goblin" actor is rumored to return as Seok-Woo in "Train to Busan 2." If the speculations are true, the fans will not only be able to see their favorite Zombie thriller but also their favorite actor in it.
"Train to Busan 2" is one of the most anticipated zombie films, especially after the rumor about Gong Yoo's replacement in the film's sequel started to do the rounds. Reports indicate that the actor will either be replaced by Song Joong Ki or Lee Min ho, Indie Wire reported.
According to Soompi, the "Goblin" actor told press that he believes his character, Seok Woo, might be alive as a zombie. He also added that since Ma Dong Seok's lives on as a zombie, there is a chance that "Train to Busan 2" may build a storyline around Yoo's dead character.
If Yoo's speculation is indeed true, then the fans might see a "Train to Busan 2" featuring
"Legend of the Blue Sea" or "Descendants of the Sun" star trying to save Seok Woo's daughter after her father died from falling off the train. The plot also hints that the protagonist would also take charge of finding the cure of this zombie pandemic.
Meanwhile, "Train to Busan" director, released an animated zombie film, "Seoul Station," that is confirmed to be the popular film's prequel. The movie's storyline focuses on existing social issues such as misogyny, destitution and highhandedness of the local forces under the garb of zombie apocalypse.
The fans who have not yet seen "Train to Busan" can catch the zombie-thriller that is now streaming on Netflix. For now, nothing except the film's title has been confirmed. The fans should wait for official confirmation about "Train to Busan 2" star cast and take this update with a grain of salt.
