The new "The Mummy" trailer features Tom Cruise and an impending apocalypse after his character finds an ancient mummy princess (played by SOfia Boutella). Cruise's Nick Morton discovered the mummy named Ahmanet and everything goes downhill when they tried to move the mummy.

In "The Mummy" movie trailer, Nick Morton and his crew dies while trying to fly Ahmanet's mummy. However, Tom Cruise's character finds out that he survived or rather has resurrected from the crash that killed his crew.

It was learned that Ahmanet was an evil princess who had lust for power and with her reawakened; she is starting her vengeance to take the earth as hers in "The Mummy" movie. Entertainment Weekly reports that Nick Morton will get help from Jenny Hasley (played by Annabelle Wallis) and Dr. Jekyll (played by Russell Crowe) in stopping the apocalyptic princess.

Tom Cruise's character also learns from the doctor the reason why he's alive - Ahmanet is using him so she could regain her mystic powers. In an eerie turn of events in "The Mummy," Dr. Jekyll also reveals that Nick Morton can't hide from the avenging mummy princess.

Variety reports that Tom Cruise apparently did some work stunts for the movie and the plane crash sequence in the new trailer took more than 60 takes. "The Mummy" movie is directed by Alex Kurtzman who is also a producer alongside Sean Daniel and Chris Morgan.

The new "The Mummy" movie trailer is the second one that was released by Universal Pictures and made it debut at CinemaCon. The movie is set to be released on June 9 in US theaters.
