Latino star J Balvin has not been active recently on his social media account. He admitted that he is struggling with anxiety and depression.

J Balvin has been known not only for his unique style but also for his mental health advocacy. His Arcoiris tour in partnership with arts collective "Friends With You" stayed true to its name.

The tour aims to bring light, color, and optimism to every city that it stopped in. This is to fight anxiety and depression most especially among the Latino community.

During his Arcoiris tour, J Balvin always shared with people the importance of valuing one's mental health. He told the audience not to be ashamed to seek professional help.

He also them know also that they are not alone because J Balvin has struggled with depression and anxiety as well.

"Mental health illnesses are a reality. I have suffered from depression and anxiety, so I have to accept it. And this makes me more human.

"It makes me understand that life has challenges. But if someone is going through a difficult time, they are not alone, light always comes. Sooner or later, the light comes," said the Latino star.

This time, the Latino star once again is facing these mental health problems but instead of keeping it to himself, he is being open to his fans to inspire them and let them know to seek the help they need.

In fact, J Balvin posted on his Instagram on Tuesday and discussed his personal struggles with anxiety and depression, according to We Are Mitu.

J Balvin has been very active on his social media in the past. But these past few weeks, many speculated that the Latino star is facing mental issues after he became less active on his social media.

As one of the most popular artists in the world, he is known to document his day-to-day routine to his fans. Yet even though J Balvin recently posted his collaboration with Fortnite, he kept himself away from social media, and many fans inevitably grew concerned.

J Balvin shared in his video, "Like any human being, I've had some challenges. This time it's anxiety and some depression. I don't like acting or faking my happiness or that everything is perfect. I'm like any human being. I'm fragile and vulnerable, possibly more than all of you."

Moreover, he thanked his fans for staying connected with him. He also assured them that after the mental health issues that he is experiencing, he will be back to cracking jokes to his fans and followers.

He ended the video he shared with a peace sign while saying his real name.

It can also be remembered that last year, J Balvin shared that anxiety and depression are part of reality and it is perhaps his role to discuss these conditions that are often overlooked in the society.

He did not only inspire his fans but also his fellow star Camila Cabello to be open about their mental health struggles.
