Noches de Colombia serves food that would make Colombians in the U.S. miss home, or anyone who wants authentic Colombian food can simply go to this place.
According to Trip Advisor, before it spread around the U.S. to become a national brand, it started as a Colombian restaurant in the 1990s. It opened its doors at 42 Street in Union City, New Jersey, back in 1998 and has since become a chain of money-making restaurants, bringing a taste of Colombia all over the U.S.
The restaurant is best known for various dishes, from La Bandeja Paisa to Chorizos Colombiano. It is also known for Empanadas y Chicharrones, as well as a variety of Batidos de Frutas or fruit shakes. Colombia is known for its coffee, so the restaurant chain is also known for its espresso.
Noches de Colombia Is a Successful Migrant Story
Noches de Colombia is a fine example of the American dream, wherein a Colombian family migrates to the United States and starts a restaurant that eventually becomes a successful restaurant chain all over the country.
According to its Facebook page, Noches de Colombia was started by a "family who migrated to the United States 17 years ago with the hope of meeting the all-American dream."
They started small to test the waters in New Jersey. It has since grown rapidly and attracted not just Colombians but people from all walks of life.
It was done through years of hard work and dedication from an immigrant family led by Juan Rodriguez. Noches de Colombia now has several locations, mostly in its home state of New Jersey.
The restaurant chain opened its first location outside New Jersey in 2016. It was in New York. The chain then expanded to other states ever since.
