Gisele Bundchen is back in her home country, Brazil, to give a lecture at the VTEX event in Sao Paulo. There, the supermodel and Tom Brady's ex was moved to tears.

According to The Daily Mail, the lecture was held at the Sao Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and reports indicated that it was unclear why she teared up during her lecture, as she was seen dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief while onstage.

The event had lectures on various topics, such as business, software, and e-commerce, with Gisele appearing on stage with VTEX president and co-founder Mariano Gomide. The Brazilian supermodel reportedly talked about "her challenges to conquer the world, her job in defense of nature, and her journey of example in entrepreneurship."

While she was seen getting emotional and tearing up during part of the lecture, she did appear happy and flashed her famous smile throughout her time onstage. She reportedly wowed the crowd with a skintight brown turtleneck dress that was paired with strappy nude heels and several gold accessories.

Gisele Bundchen May Have Reflected on Her Younger Self When She Teared Up

While the exact reasons for her tearing up are unknown, a source close to Gisele spoke with PEOPLE and stated, "Gisele teared up on stage when they were talking about her early career." The source added that she often gets "emotional when she thinks about leaving her family and her sisters."

The source explained that Gisele was only 14 when she left her family in Brazil for a new life at the start of her modeling career. "That's something very emotional for her to remember. It's a long path to 40 when you leave at 14-15 years old. It's just emotional reflecting on her younger self," the source told the magazine.

Gisele reportedly got emotional when she talked about leaving a better world for her kids, as well as making her parents proud. During the lecture, she stated in Portuguese, "You can do anything if you believe in yourself and your dreams."

Gisele Bundchen Lecture in Brazil Comes Just a Few Days After Tom Brady Talked About Co-Parenting

Gisele actually surprised a lot of people when she appeared for a lecture in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She surprised even more people when she was seen tearing up for reasons seemingly unknown.

Page Six reported that her appearance back home in Brazil came just a few days after a Tom Brady interview was released where he talked about co-parenting his kids with Gisele.

The two plan to co-parent the kids over the summer, as school will be out and the kids are free. Together, they share two children, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian Lake, 10. Gisele also took care of Tom Brady's eldest child, Jack, 15, whom he had with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Brady stated that the kids will have a "really good summer lined up" as they split their travels between each parent. The retired Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback promised the kids that they were going to Disneyland to celebrate the last day of school.

"Then they're going with their mom for a couple of weeks to Brazil," he added and noted that he and Gisele wanted the kids to "stay connected with people from Boston and from Tampa and from Costa Rica and from Brazil" during the summer break.
