It seems that Shakira's tax troubles in Spain are not yet over, as a Barcelona court agreed to open a new investigation for her alleged tax fraud while living in Barcelona.

This will be the second tax fraud case against the Colombian superstar, as she is already facing trial for allegedly failing to pay 14.5 million euros in taxes while living in Spain between 2012 and 2014. She is denying any wrongdoing and has since moved to Miami after splitting with Spanish ex, Gerard Pique.

Spanish prosecutors are now probing two possible cases of tax fraud allegedly perpetrated by the Colombian in 2018. However, it is still not known how much money she did not pay in taxes, according to the Associated Press.

Both her tax fraud cases will be heard in a court in the town of Esplugues de Llobregat, near Barcelona. For the first case, Barcelona prosecutors believe that she spent more than half of the period in 2012-14 in Spain and should have paid taxes there. However, during that time, her official residence was in the Bahamas.

Llorente y Cuenca, which represents Shakira back in Spain, stated that the "Hips Don't Lie" singer "always acted in concordance with the law and on the advice of her financial advisers." Her lawyers also stated that she has not yet received any notification and is "focused on her artistic career in Miami and is calm and confident that she will receive a favorable resolution of her fiscal issues."

Spain had been cracking down on foreign celebrities who lived in the country for not paying their taxes. These include soccer stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who avoided prison time because the judges who oversaw their cases are allowed to waive sentences under two years in length for first-time offenders.

While her tax cases in Spain are ongoing, Shakira seems to be busy with her love life. Sources with knowledge of the situation have stated that she is now "fully over" her split from Gerard Pique and is accelerating her relationship with British racer, Sir Lewis Hamilton.

"They're inseparable, it's definitely a hot summer romance," the source said. "She believes in love and is very open to see what the future might hold for them."

Marca noted that the Colombian music legend was seen cheering Hamilton and Mercedes on during the British Grand Prix before being seen partying together. She was even his personal guest in the Mercedes paddock.

Meanwhile, Shakira is now living in Miami with her two kids, Sasha and Milan. While they talk about their father, it seems that the kids have come up with a derogatory nickname for his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, whom he cheated on Shakira with.

According to Sportskeeda, they call her "Daddy's Employee." This was because she was first introduced to them as Pique's employee. Before becoming his mistress, she did work for the soccer star's company.
