Zelda Williams Honors Father Robin Williams on World Mental Health Day
On Friday, Zelda Williams took to Twitter to pay tribute to her deceased father and legendary comedian and actor, Robin Williams, in honor of World Mental Health Day.
Zelda posted a series of tweets encouraging her followers to help "end the stigma," regarding mental health issues. She also encouraged her followers to raise awareness on the disease and donate to mental health charities, including Barrow Neurological Foundation and Hope for the Warriors, E! News reports.
Lastly, Zelda addressed her own father's mental illness, depression. Though Robin ultimately lost his battle with depression and committed suicide in early August, Zelda urged her followers battling with mental illness to "fight on."

Robin Williams was found dead at his home in Tiburon, California on Aug. 11 of this year, The Washington Post reported at the time. According to TMZ, police later determined that Robin committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt. The late actor died at the age of 63.
Following her father's death, Zelda opted to quit Twitter for a while after social media users taunted Zelda and sent her photoshopped pictures of her father's dead body, Mirror Online reports.
"Please report @PimpStory @MrGoosebuster. I'm shaking. I can't. Please. Twitter requires a link and I won't open it. Don't either. Please," she wrote on viewing the graphic images.
"I'm sorry. I should've risen above. Deleting this from my devices for a good long time, maybe forever. Time will tell. Goodbye."
Since then, Zelda's farewell tweets have been deleted.
Last month, Zelda returned to Twitter and thanked her fans and supporters for their stories of how they coped with a loss in their family.
Zelda then shared a photo from @FreeThinkingUK's Twitter account of her father singing with Sesame Street characters.
"Bearded sing off," she captioned the photo.
