Mexico and the Netherlands will face each other on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. EST in one of several international friendly games this week.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup may be over, but international soccer games are still being played around the world.

One of the most notable games on the schedule is this one between FIFA World Cup rivals Mexico and the Netherlands. These two nations have a lot of history between each other on the field, and soccer rivalries always run deep between Europe and Latin American nations.

Latin Post.com breaks down the teams, previews the game and predicts who will win:

Mexico

It was a disappointing ending for the Mexican National Team at the World Cup as they failed to win a knockout game once again. The Netherlands defeated Mexico 2-1 in the Round of 16 scoring two goals in the final minutes of play. Surrendering a lead with just a few minutes to play and eventually losing was one of the most disappointing moments in Mexico's storied soccer history. Mexico has won their last three friendlies, defeating Panama, Bolivia and Honduras.

Coach Miguel Herrera once played for the Mexican National Team.

Mexico's offense is led by Giovani Santos and Javier Hernández. Both have played in multiple World Cups and currently play in the Spanish La Liga Football Association. Team captain Andrés Guardado leads the middle fielders against the Netherlands. Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa will be facing a tough offense, but we've seen him play great many times in the past.

Mexico's biggest weakness is their defense. Outside of Paul Aguilar, Mexico doesn't have a lot of notable defenders.

Netherlands

The Netherlands placed third in the 2014 FIFA World Cup after Argentina eliminated them in the semi-finals with penalty kicks. The Netherlands are one of the best soccer nations in the world, having made it to the 2010 World Cup Finals against Spain.

Guus Hiddink is now the team manager after Louis van Gaal resigned from the team.

The Netherlands lost their last exhibition friendly against Italy 2-0, back in September. Similar to Mexico, the Netherlands have a powerful offense. Star players such as Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben have both played in three World Cups and are fully capable of scoring from anywhere on the field.

The biggest disadvantage for the Netherlands is goaltending. Jasper Cillessen still has much to prove and isn't on the level of Ochoa just yet. The Netherlands don't have a great defensive unit either outside of Gregory van der Wiel, and their middle field is equal to Mexico.

Schedule, Where to Watch

Mexico and the Netherlands will face each other on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 2:30 p.m. EST. The game will be played at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This game will be shown on ESPN2. Fans can view a live game stream here.

Prediction

There's a good chance this will be a high-scoring game. Neither of these teams have a high quality defense, and both are filled with a lot of great offensive players. When it comes to friendlies, it's always more about trying to schemes and plays, but winning the game still matters to fans and players. Mexico should want this game badly to overcome their World Cup elimination from the Dutch.

Mexico wins 4-3
