The Mega Millions draw is set to take place tonight with pot prize already hitting $189 million.

With no one winning the jackpot at last week's draws, tonight's winning have hit a $189 M - an increase of $16 million from last Friday's $173 million jackpot. With this, many betters are hoping that their tickets will make them the next multi-millionaire.

While last Friday's draw (Sept. 27) had no jackpot winners, the Mega Millions website noted that 13 winners won $250,000 as they matched all five numbers except the Mega Millions ball. The winners came from different states in the U.S. - on from Arizona, one from California, another from Ohio, two from Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas.

The site also noted that 47 won $10,000, while more than 4,000 won $150 dollars each.

The winning numbers for Friday's draw are 9, 23, 27, 49, 51 and the Mega Millions number is 38.

Mega Millions lottery offers betters nine ways to win money. Lottery players can win as low as $2 to as high as $656 million - the highest recorded for the game, won by three betters in March 2012.

Other price money include $3, $7, $10, $150 (by hitting either four numbers, or three plus the Mega Millions number), $10,000 and $250,000.

Should tonight draw creat a new multi-millionaire, the winner can choose whether to receive the $189 million in annuities or to bring home a cash option of $129 million. For annuities, the lottery site explains that the pot will be awarded to the winner on a 26-year period. For every $1,000,000 win, the winner will receive $38,500 every year before taxes are deducted.

Mega Millions draws are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. ET or 8:0 p.m. PT, in Atlanta, Georgia.
