R&B singer, Jill Scott recently came under fire for voicing her opinion on Twitter about Bill Cosby's recent rape allegations.

Social media users immediately responded to Scott's repost, expressing their opposition towards Scott's beliefs. This resulted in a Twitter war between various social media users and Scott who defended her thoughts on Bill Cosby's rape allegations despite the public backlash, MadameNoire reports. @missjillscott @CandyCornball don't need your sorrows Ms. Jilly. A conscious state of thinking on your part would have been worth more. — Kristen (@KristensWay) December 1, 2014

Though Scott did not back down from her stance and wished her opposers a "beautiful day," the soulful singer did offer rape victims some advice via her tweet below.
Rape is a despicable, cowardly crime. If you've been raped- plz do NOT shower, go to police IMMEDIATELY, have a rap kit done. GET EVIDENCE.

MSNBC reports that Scott is one of a few celebrities that have come forward to share their opinion on Cosby's rape allegation. Just recently, comedian Chris Rock spoke with New York Magazine and expressed his hope that that Cosby's rape allegations aren't true.
"I hope it's not true. That's all you can say. I really do. I grew up on Cosby. I love Cosby, and I just hope it's not true," he said. "It's a weird year for comedy. We lost Robin [Williams], we lost Joan [Rivers], and we kind of lost Cosby."
Prior to Scott's Twitter defense of Cosby, actor Faizon Love also defended the comedian in a "vulgar Twitter meltdown" as described by the International Business Times. On Saturday, Nov. 22, Love posted a series of tweets where he described Cosby's opposers as "house n**gas" and "porch monkeys." This sparked a major Twitter war between Love and social media users who slammed the actor for his vulgar tweets . Check out some of Love's tweets below.
