HollywoodLife.com reports that, in addition to being a fan of her work, Gomez also turns to Aniston for advice on her personal life and tumultuous relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
"Jennifer has been a confidante to Selena in both her working and personal life. Jen, who's had her fair share of romances before finding love again, has given Selena advice on how to [handle] her relationship with Justin," the tabloid website reports.
Gomez recently addressed her relationship with Bieber during a heartfelt performance at the American Music Awards where she sang her Bieber-inspired ballad, "The Heart Wants What It Wants." Towards the end of her performance, Gomez was crying as a shadowed and blurred-out image of what appeared to be Bieber surfaced on the stage's screen.
AMA cameras even caught a close up shot of Gomez mouthing the words "thank you Jesus" and letting out a huge sigh of relief at the end of her performance.
Meanwhile, Aniston has been heavily promoting her film, "Cake" which Huffington Post claims might be in the running for an Oscar nomination. In the film, Aniston undergoes a drastic make-under to portray the leading role of Claire Simmons, a woman who consumes pain medication and illegal drugs in attempt to manage her hallucinations about a widower's wife.
"There would be times when I would have to do a take over because I knew I moved too easily," Aniston said of her role during an Epix roundtable discussion. "But what's odd is that after about two weeks of walking and taking on a physical state, that starts to become sort of your natural state of being and moving."
