During a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" host, Chris Harrison revealed that he noticed some awkwardness between "The Bachelorette" stars, Josh Murray and Andi Dorfman prior to their split, Us Weekly reports.

"I knew things were a little off," Harrison told Seacrest. "They were being a little awkward and weird. But you know, they're from Georgia. You know those people."

Still, despite their awkwardness, Harrison claimed that he was still shocked and disappointed when the couple announced their split earlier this month.

Harrison explained that he wished Dorfman and Murray told him they were "on the rocks" so that he could avoid putting them in the uncomfortable position of answering his question about their wedding plans at the recent "Bachelor' premiere live event.

"A) I was shocked and B) I was a little disappointed," the veteran TV host noted, "because I wish they just said something to me," Harrison said."I never would've put them in that awkward of a position [at the premiere] and talked about their wedding date had I known they were on the rocks."

Prior to announcing their split, Dorfman and Murray were last seen being very affectionate at "The Bachelor" premiere.

It was there that Harrison and E! News asked the couple about their wedding plans to which they replied that they were taking things slow in planning their wedding.

But almost a week later, Dorfman and Murray released a joint statement about their decision to call off their engagement.

"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best," the statement read.

Since their split, both Murray and Doorman have each gone on Instagram to cryptically address the breakup, Us Weekly reports.
