Miss Bumbum Mexico 2015 Competition Narrowed Down to 7 Contestants [Pics]
The first Miss Bumbum Mexico is underway, and the contestants were recently narrowed down. The latest round took place on Jan. 16, but the results were not released until this week after tallying took place.
There are now only seven women in the competition, according to Excelsior. The seven women were chosen after a runway competition. Nora, Pamela, Denisse, Fanny, Bere, Adriana and Caro will compete on Jan. 23 in the semifinal.
The winner will be chosen on Jan. 30, and unlike the Brazilian original, Miss Bumbum Mexico is looking for a woman with the best butt and who also has beauty, charisma and personal style. The participants also have to have been born in Mexico or have Mexican parents.
To join the Mexico Miss Bum Bum competition, women submitted images of themselves online, and for the first few rounds, the public was able to vote for them based on just the pictures. Before being cut down to seven, there were 12 participants.
The competition aims to find different kinds of women to participate, according to La Opinion.
"We don't want to be pigeonholed with one type of woman," said Alberto Gonzalez, a spokesman for the show. "We want any type of woman to participate. We think it will be an excellent opportunity to take them into other platforms, where they will have a lot of exposure. We think that one million pesos will be very attractive, and we have four judges, who are a surprise."
Miss Bumbum Brazil chose its winner, Indianara Carvalho, in November.
"I did not expect to win, but of course I wanted to win," she said at the time according to Globo. "I was well prepared. I am very honored to receive this title because it represents all Brazilian women."
Here are some of the women who are still in the competition for the Mexican title.
