Naya Rivera is joining the Lifetime series "Devious Maids" and will be returning to "The View,"

The former "Glee" star made a few appearances on "The View," boosting the show's social media presence and will be returning on the show as a co-host for "several" episodes, Hollywood Deadline reported.

Rivera will join "Devious Maids" in Season 3 for a recurring role. She will play Blanca, a new maid in the neighborhood who recently landed a job with the Beverly Hills family. Blanca will soon discover a terrible secret that could change her life forever.

Rivera recently apologized about comments she previously made about white people showering more than any other ethnic group, The Daily News reported.

While the 28-year-old Puerto Rican actress was on "The View," co-host Nicolle Wallace said she showers at least three times a day.

"I have to say I have a theory about showering, (which) is that I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics," Rivera responded. "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing. A study says, dermatologists say you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I'm right on the mark."

Rivera said her white husband Ryan Dorsey showers two to three times a day, and it is strange to her.

After people criticized her comments on social media, Rivera apologized.

"It was supposed to be a joke, but I apologize if anyone was offended," she said. "However, I'm very excited that it sparked a big conversation about how many times you should shower."

Rivera played Santana Lopez on "Glee" before wrapping up the final season. Lopez was one of the most popular characters on the musical dramedy. Season 6, the show's final season, is currently airing on Fox.
