A 92-year-old man hit nine parked cars after he lost control of his vehicle in a parking lot in Wisconsin.

In a surveillance video, the driver, identified as Russell Kerr, is seen pulling out of his parking space at a Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Mayville on Friday and then crashing into nine parked cars.

Instead of stopping, the elderly driver puts his van in reverse and smashes into two more cars. He then clipped the bumper of another car and hit a truck so hard that it moved the truck several feet.

According to WISN.com, Kerr will not be cited.

"I can tell you in 23 years of law enforcement, I've never seen anything like this," Mayville Police Chief Christopher MacNeill told the news station.

MacNeil also told the station that authorities determined that the incident occurred because Kerr's foot got stuck on the gas pedal and he panicked. In most situations where multiple parked cars are hit, the driver is usually doing something illegal, like running from police. However, that was not the case in this situation, he said.

"It's a miracle that nobody was injured," shopper Tony Firari told NBC affliate WFLA.

"It could have been a heck of a lot worse, we were very, very fortunate that there was no pedestrians walking out with their groceries," said Mayville Police Chief Christopher MacNeill.

Police say the elderly driver won't face any charges, but the state's department of motor vehicles is looking into his driving record.

One shopper said that he came out of the store and discovered that Kerr had hit his wife's car while he was inside the store shopping for a Valentine's Day card for his wife.

He said he "wrote, 'I love you' on the bottom" and "P.S. Sorry about your car,'" on the card he gave his wife of 58 years.
