Mexican Telenovela Star Karla Alvarez Death: Colleagues Express Their Condolences, Cause of Death Confirmed
Mexican Telenovela actress Karla Alvarez was found dead this past Friday in her home in Mexico City. The Attorney General investigating her death confirmed that Alvarez died from a Cardiac Arrest steaming from Bulimia and Anorexia. Karla was just 41 years old and had a successful career in the Latino show business scene.
She was best known for working alongside actress and recording artist Thalia in the telenovela "Maria Mercedes", which was Alvarez's first acting role in 1992. Thalia was one of the first friends to turn to Twitter saying "sad news with the departure of Karlita Alvarez, great memories on "Maria Mercedes", Prayers and light to her family, rest in peace". Actress Kate Del Castillo, also 41, worked with Alvarez on "La Mentira" and considered her "an amazing actress and an amazing girl; It's just shocking that someone so young is gone" she said on Fox News Latino on Monday. Castillo also shared her condolences on Instagram posting a picture of the two of them on the set of the telenovela "La Mentira" "You left too soon my dear Karla Alvarez, you will be missed here, I will never forget the wonderful times we lived together!"
Other colleagues like Danna Garcia, Aracely Arambula, Olga Tanon, Lucero and ex-husband Alexis Ayala expressed their sentiment through social networking sites. Ayala writing " So sad, rest in peace Karla Alvarez, God has you in his glory". Alvarez shared her talent with us through many telenovelas like; "Mi Querida Isabel", "Agujetas de Color Rosa" Prisionera de Amor", "Alma Rebelde" and her last role in "Que Bonito Amor". It has been reported that Alvarez's family held a private burial this past Sunday.
Karla will always be remembered for her talent and charisma. As fans, artist and people we respect this sad news. At the same time the fight against Bulimia and Anorexia continues, as this is a real disease taking the lives of its victims. Lets not allow this epidemic to continue consuming the minds of people. Remember folks; we are all an original creation, lets not loose another beautiful soul to this disease, there's help out there. Rest In Peace Karla Alvarez.
