In a recent interview for Elle Magazine, Katy Perry revealed she also wanted Snoop Dogg to make a special appearance during her Super Bowl halftime performance last month. However, the NFL banned the rapper for his past feud with Iggy Azalea.

"And you wanna know why [Snoop Dogg didn't perform]? Because of the Iggy Azalea thing. Not that that was it-that was just the tipping point," Perry said. "You can't have that kind of hate at the Super Bowl. They already have enough female-hate problems; they don't need any more."

Music Times reports that Dogg and Azalea's beef occurred back in October when the male rapper posted a "mean meme" on Instagram about the Australian rapper. The meme then prompted Azalea to call Dogg two-faced on Twitter and he then retaliated by calling Azalea a deragotory name.

And though the two foes have since made up, the NFL did not want to take any chances given its already tarnished reputation from the domestic violence incident that occurred between Ray Rice and his wife, Janay, according to Perry.

In addition to her issues with getting Snoop Dogg to perform, Perry also revealed that rehearsing for her Super Bowl performance was also quite difficult. She explained that for six months she felt as though she had no life while preparing for what she describes as the biggest show of her life.

"We love this opportunity, but once you decide you're going to do the Super Bowl, you're gonna have no f***ing life for six months. It is the biggest thing. Anyone that's ever done it has been scared s**tless. You stay off the Internet for the five days afterward," she said.

But despite experiencing several issues with her halftime show, Perry's performance featuring Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot managed to make history as the most-watched halftime show ever, Billboard reported.
