Peyton Manning is expected to spend the rest of the 2015 NFL season with the Denver Broncos as reports revealed his team cannot trade the veteran quarterback unless he asks for it, NBC Sports reported.

According to NFL insider Mike Florio, Manning agreed to return for another season with a lower salary, but the 38-year-old quarterback demanded for a no-trade clause in his restructured contract.

With the no-trade clause, the Broncos cannot trade Manning without his permission. The clause is reportedly in effect just for this year and the Broncos will have the right to move him in 2016, which could be his final year in the league.

Sources said Manning does not want to leave Denver despite the changes new coach Gary Kubiak will bring to the team. Kubiak, who was picked to replace John Fox earlier this year, has a different system, but might use the same offense the Broncos ran last season to maximize Manning.

Manning, who completed 66.2 percent of his passes for 4,727 yards and 39 touchdowns last season, considered retirement earlier this year after the Broncos lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the American Football Conference divisional round.

Manning, a 14-time Pro Bowl quarterback, eventually decided to return and eventually took a $4 million pay cut to give the Broncos more cap room to improve their roster before next season.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings struck a deal with the Miami Dolphins to bolster their offense for the 2015 season.

Ben Goessling of ESPN reported that the Vikings acquired wide receiver Mike Wallace and a 2015 seventh-round pick from the Dolphins in exchange for a fifth-round pick in this year's rookie draft.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said that they expect Wallace to provide additional scoring punch for them, and become a perfect complement to young quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and fellow wide receiver Charles Johnson.

"We want to have a lot of speed offensively, and we feel like that will help a lot," Zimmer said of acquiring Wallace from the Dolphins. "With Charles Johnson, it opens up more things for the runners, it opens up more things for the tight end. And with Teddy, you know, he plays so damn accurate. It opens things up."

Wallace, who was selected by in the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of 2009 NFL Draft, tallied 67 catches for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games with the Dolphins last season.
