The Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns are reportedly in talks about a trade involving second-year quarterback Johnny Manziel, who is currently in rehab.

According to Chat Sports, a source privy to situation revealed that an agent told him about the ongoing discussion about a trade that would send Manziel to the Eagles along with draft picks in exchange for Philadelphia quarterback Sam Bradford, who was acquired by the Eagles in a trade with the St. Louis Rams last month.

The source added that both teams are determined to make the trade happen. The Browns and the Eagles believe the deal would improve their quarterback position for the 2015 NFL season.

However, the Browns reportedly want to get a commitment from Bradford that he will stay in Cleveland for more than one season. The Browns are also unwilling to deal their first-round pick in the upcoming draft.

The trade talks involving came as surprise to many and were treated as plain speculation, but Joe Ginley of Dawgs By Nature said that he talked to Chat Sports founder and CEO James Yoder, who confirmed the authenticity of the reported about the Browns-Eagles trade discussions.

"The source in the situation is a very close friend of one of the agents of a player involved in the potential trade and took a 25 minute call with our staff today," Yoder told Dawgs By Nature. "He can't guarantee the trade takes place, but we can with 100% confidence say that the content we published is factual."

The Browns, who lost last season's starting quarterback Brian Hoyer to the Houston Texans this offseason, have long been linked to a deal for Bradford, who threw 1,687 yards for 14 touchdowns in seven games with the Rams last season.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher confirmed to Northeast Ohio Media Group that the Browns tried to convince them to give up Bradford. Cleveland reportedly offered draft picks without any other player in the deal before the Rams eventually dealt Bradford to the Eagles in exchange for quarterback Nick Foles and swap of draft picks.

The trade rumor also came after Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Thomas told ESPN Cleveland that Manziel, the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, lost a lot of trust in the locker room last season because of his off-court issues.

"I think he lost probably a lot of trust among the guys on the team last year by the way he handled himself once he became the starter," Thomas said. "And I think he had a lot of time to reflect, I'm guessing, after the season was over by the comments he made in the media and by his actions, checking himself into rehab."
