'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: Jaime Lannister Actor Teases Higher Stakes, Sansa Stark Star Talks Manipulating People
Get ready for the Season 5 premiere of "Game of Thrones" Sunday on HBO.
Fans are expecting great adventures in Westeros for the fifth season of HBO"s hit series, E! Online reports.
According to the "Spoiler Chat" column, this will be a very intense season as people get to experience some long-awaited reunions.
"The big thing is, we're past the halfway point of this story, and we're getting closer to the end of 'Game of Thrones'" Nikolaj Coster-Waldau tells Eric from the column.
He added, "The stakes have always been high but they're getting higher and some of the major characters that haven't met before will meet. It's very exciting."
Meanwhile, actress Sophie Tuner tells Entertainment Weekly's James Hibberd that it will be a dark season for the character she plays.
"She just escaped King's Landing, and she goes back to a place where she becomes somewhat of a prisoner again," Turner said.
"Despite being a prisoner again, she plays it out very differently this time compared to before. She tries to take command and begins to manipulate the people who are keeping her prisoner-which is nice."
In the last season, Sansa's final scene showed her wearing all dark. She even dyed her hair from its usual red to black. Turner says Sansa will continue to wear dark clothes in Season 5, but she will stop at some point.
Sansa was able to manipulate Little Finger, played by Aiden Gillen, in the last season. She even went as far as kissing him.
"When the kiss happened, my Twitter exploded with 'Eww! that's disgusting!'" Turner recalled. "And like the next day I got a ton of tweets going, 'Ohhhh, they should be together.'"
Turner went on to speak about the growth of her character, Sansa.
"It was Sansa playing the game a bit more," Turner said. "I think they liked that because so far, she's been the weak vulnerable one."
Tune into HBO April 12 to see the intense Season 5 premiere of "Game of Thrones."
